Personality

Background

Excerpts from the Diary of a Witch
Page 12: A Poem
Today, once more, I ventured to the secret floor
Where whispers of spirits spin and whirl,
And mysteries of this world's magic unfurl.
The mystic lock came free, a spell-keyed door.
Alone, once more, the books I perused,
Pages old and worn and used,
Whispered to me of the demons abused,
And injustices forgotten evermore.
The gods above look down on we,
But a single witch alone does she
Raise her amber eyes on high
And dare to ask the mighty 'why'?
An order made by gods and mortals,
A labyrinth of twisted portals,
From its dark heart comes wicked chortles,
And wherefore the aggressive turtles?
Natural though the powers say,
This order was fashioned day by day,
By the hands of those with sway,
But brittle it is, like earthen clay.
One with ambition, who defies fate,
One with power, who cannot ignore hate,
One with sharpness of mind,
One whose blood conceals a link to demonkind.
Above the ancient ruins, the site of sin,
With her nose, a book buried in,
The great witch bides her time...
But will one day the unjust order redesign.

The fools around me quake in fear, knowing that the reckoning of the gods draws near! They cower, they hide, and with spells, they bide the time that was once prophesied. The Council calls Reifa strange, but little do they know the knowledge her mind does arrange. Long histories of the world does Reifa know, and through the secret passages of time her mind will go, piecing together the secrets that show their forms to those who seek. And in the unjust annals, monstrous forms become something much more meek: an ally, perhaps, to the weak, who fall on the wrong side of the blade. For history is not done, it is made!

Freyr, o father of elves and bearer of the broken sword
To thee, I call! Move history forward!
The tears for your children, dry them quick
And empower your daughter's magic.
