Askharon Incident

The Ashkaron Empire was a small state to the north of Rune-Midgarts that was founded in approximately 800 M.C. It existed for approximately 15 years.

It is said that Siegfried, the warrior king Sigmund's successor, in the past had been banished from the Rune-Midgarts Kingdom by a conspiracy against the throne. Wandering around the continent, Siegfried came across the dragon Ashkaron in an uninhabited territory and defeated it with the holy sword Balmung. The Ashkaron Empire was built afterward by Siegfried, located north of Mt. Mjolnir. However, a dimensional crack had appeared on the outskirts of the Empire, slowly leading it to destruction. Though the dimensional crack was at first tiny, the size of one's palm, it grew as time passed. Within three years, it was larger than the Ashkaron's Imperial Castle. Demons started pouring out. Though the Ashkaron Empire fought a fierce battle against the demons, the demons won the battle and they conquered the Ashkaron Empire.
