Where the Dead Lie
Traditionally used as a burial place, this natural cave holds the bodies of many. The cave's natural inhabitants include familiars, poporings and hydras. The humid darkness provides the perfect environment for fungi to grow, and mushrooms may be found throughout the cave. Some old tales suggest the cave was once the home of a benevolent wolf spirit who protected Payon, its forests, and its mountains.
A Forgotten Town
In the depths of the cave, the ancient ruins of a settlement can be found. Scholars posit that this settlement was dedicated to the forgotten wolf spirit, serving him and acting as spiritual guides to the citizens of old Payon. Others suggest that this town was in fact a cult dedicated to Morocc, and it was through this that the caves became corrupted by dark magic.
