Beastkin is a term for a variety of races with animal-like features. These races include the doram and basilisks of Malangdo and Lasagna, and various results of strange couplings.

Doram

This feline race is comprised of three subraces. The most common, simply known as doram, are short, bipedal felines. The second-most common, the alqitat, appear as normans or elves with minor feline features such as whiskers, slit pupils, cat ears, or tails. The rarest, the alnamur, are tall bipedal felines. Many doram are closer to nature than normans, and can call forth spirits to assist them. This knack with nature helps them navigate their homeland's high seas and thick jungles. The typical lifespan of a doram is about 60 years. Alqitat are slightly longer-lived with an approximate lifespan of 80 years. Alnamur typically live for 80 years.

Drakken

The drakken are the rare and long-lived children of dragons, or those in whom dormant draconic blood has manifested. Drakken will often have horns, fangs, vestigial wings, or claws. They may have patches of scales about their bodies. The typical lifespan of a drakken is about 250 years.

Kitsune

Straddling the line between demon and beastkin, the kitsune are descended from the powerful demon Moonlight Flower. Possessing vulpine ears and thick tails, the most powerful will have their tails split over time. A kitsune's lifespan is tied to their magical power -- the more powerful they are, the longer they will live. Kitsune typically have some affinity with magic and a love of riddles and tricks.

Koboldkin

Koboldkin are people with the blood of the canine kobolds of Mount Mjolnir. They typically have strong senses of smell and hearing.
